Arctic Monkeys

Arctick Monkeys é uma banda de Indie Rock formada em 2001 na cidade Sheffield Inglaterra. Alex Turner junto com seu vizinho Jamie Cook e seus amigos de escola Andy Nicholson que tocava baixo e Matt Helders que tocava bateria, resolveram formar uma banda sob o nome de Big Bang.
Mas logo depois a banda mudou o nome para Arctic Monkeys, nome tirado de um grupo no que o pai de Matt fez parte nos anos 70.
Apos alguns concertos em 2003 a banda torna se popular na internet com suas demos fato que chamou muita atenção então em 2004 grava a coletânea Beneath The Boardwalk.
Em 2005 gravaram seu primeiro EP Five Minutes With Arctic Monkeys no mesmo ano eles assinam com a Domino Records.
Em outubro no mesmo ano foi lançado o primeiro lançamento com selo da Domino foi o compacto"I Bet You look Good on the Dancefloor.
O segundo compacto simples foi When The Sun Goes Down e alcançou o topo de vendas.
No ano seguinte foi lançado o álbum "Whatever People Say I Am, That`s What I`m Not " alcançou recordes de vendas, no ano seguinte lançaram o álbum Favourite Worst Nightmare.
Apos Alex ter seu caderninho de musica roubado, ocorreu que a banda teve que atrasar o lançamento do seu terceiro álbum, que viria só em 2009  "Humbug".
O quarto disco da banda veio em 2011 intitulado  Suck It And See , vendeu mais 100 mil de copias no reino unido
Apos rumores do lançamento do quinto disco, que só se confirmaria em 2013 com AM. Em 2014 o Arctic Monkeys ganhou o premio de melhor disco e melhor grupo do ano no Bit Awards.
